1 cup flour
1/2 cup salt
1 cup water
2 tbsp canola oil
2 tsp cream of tartar
1. Mix flour, salt, water, canola oil and cream of tartar in a large saucepan.
2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until a ball of dough forms.
3. Remove from heat and when the dough is cool enough to touch, knead until smooth.
4. Divide the dough into the number of pieces needed for the desired colors.
5. Add drops of food coloring to the dough and carefully knead until the color is uniform.
