5 Events to Attend with the Kids this Weekend

There are always so many fun and exciting adventures to go on within Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Here are just 5 most fun, entertaining family events that we are most excited about this upcoming weekend. 

Vancouver Children's Festival
When: May 25th to May 31st
Where: Granville Island
Cost: Adult $25/Kids $15

Info: The Vancouver International Children’s Festival Society presents contemporary, inter-disciplinary arts including performance and interactive arts activities that speak to the various ages of our audience. Our inclusive programming is culturally diverse and representative of regional, national and international artists.

Guildford Pool Grand Opening
When:May 30th, 2015
Where:15105 105 Avenue Surrey
Info: Even though the new Guildford Pool has been open since March 23, 2015 the official grand opening is happening May 30th! Come enjoy a FREE swim, refreshments and entertainment. Kits Market
When: May 31st
Where: Riley Park (Ontario St @ 30th Ave.) from May 10 – June 7

Each week the parking lot of Kits Community Centre fills with organic and conventional product, meat, cheese, seafood and plants as well as tasty baked goods, beautiful crafts and musical entertainment by local musicians. Kids can enjoy the playground and waterpark nearby and parents will find the best selection of organic produce around. Hot coffee and hot food available on site each week.

18th Annual European Festival
When: May 30th & May 31st
Where: Swanguard Stadium
Cost: Kids under 12 Free /$10 at gate for Weekend

This year’s festival brings together some 30 countries in this weekend cultural festival of food, fun and performances.

Cedar Cottage Community Carnival
When: May 30th 10am to 4pm
Where: 4065 Victoria Drive, Vancouver
Cost: Free 

Info: Join friends and neighbours at the Cedar Cottage Community Carnival. This Free family-friendly event includes many carnival games, yummy food, balloons, face painting and many more exciting activities.
