Easter can be a hoppin' good time for the family with all these egg-cellent activities around the Lower Mainland, listed by municipality. Your local community centre may also offer Easter-themed fun -- check with yours (we couldn't fit all community centre listings here!). Happy Easter, everyone.

Hyack Easter Antique Car Parade
April 24, 12 noon
The Hyack Festival Association with the Totem Model A&T Car Club is presenting its 31st Annual Hyack Easter Antique Car Parade. This annual highlight for people of all ages is followed by the Easter in the Park celebration organized by New Westminster Parks, Culture and Recreation in Queen's Park. Antique and vintage cars will assemble on the Front Street Parkade for display at 10 am before the parade starts at 12 pm. The fully restored New Westminster Police Service 1949 Nash and the New Westminster Fire Service 1929 Mack Fire Truck will lead the parade route.
Location: Starts on Columbia Street at MacKenzie, proceeds east to 4th Street where it u-turns and heads west on Columbia Street to 12th Street, goes north to 6th Avenue, then east to 2nd Street, south to 3rd Avenue and into Queen's Park

An eggs-tra good time at Easter in Queen's Park. This family-oriented event is held in Queen's Park Rainbow Playland with activities geared to children between 3 and 10 years. The Great A-Mazing Egg Hunt
April 23, 10 am - 12 noon
Let the egg hunt begin! Mr. Bunny (with lots of treats) will be there, as will his good pal Purdy's Chocolates ambassador, Philbert the Hedgehog. Celebrations start at 10 am with kids dropping into the craft tent to decorate an egg bag in which to carry their finds and participate in other seasonal crafts. At 11 am sharp, Mr. Bunny and Philbert open the gates to the maze and the surrounding area for the great hunt. Participants must pre-purchase tickets at VanDusen's Garden Shop.
